Emotional Benefits:
Just connecting and caring for such a large animal can be very beneficial for individuals who experience emotional trauma. Horses are always completely unbiased and non-judgmental. As such, participants in equine assisted programs often find themselves more comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings with their equine assisted facilitator than they might with a human therapist.
Working with horses as their partner – they require mutual trust and respect to follow your lead. They encourage us to discover how to bring about change and to trust our human partners. Horses have an amazing ability to model this important life skill to us in every task – reminding us of the power of trust and respect.
Leadership:
Learn how to work effectively in a group setting, and how to communicate to be an effective leader. Learn about what you look for in leadership and in turn what others look for in you.
Communication Skills:

Problem Solving Skills:
The ability to think creatively is imperative to developing problem solving skills. Participants are encouraged to think outside the box to solve a variety of obstacles with their horse – gaining valuable feedback along the way to encourage their creativity!

Horses look for confident leadership. Their honest feedback will push you to find your inner voice. Their loving and calm demeanor will encourage you to push yourself and find your inner hero.
